Born in Colchester, Davis has lived and worked in Berlin for the last 20 years. He studied at Norwich School of Art and Camberwell School in London. He has taught in Germany and England, and held four solo shows in Germany, and exhibited widely in group exhibitions. His work is held in private andcorporate collections, including the PFA in Manchester.

His technique is to let paint drip onto a canvas to form small pools of color. Each pool needs to dry for several days before he can add another layer, making a slow and unique process that demands patience. The result is a dense, multi-dimensional surface.
