Painter, graphic artist & printmaker, Rees was born in Neath, South Wales, and studied at Swansea and Camberwell Schools of Art. He also taught for many years at Swansea and Central Schools, and his own work was mainly commercial projects and commissions – posters, advertisements, magazine illustration, and book jackets.
