For four decades, Cohen has been one of Britain’s most distinguished abstract artists, consistently inventive and adventurous. Studied St.Martins 1950-51 & the Slade 1951-54. Numerous solo exhibitions include Gimpel Fils 1958 & 60; Molton Gallery 1962, Kasmin (3 shows 1963-67), Betty Parsons New York 1966, Arnolfini 1967, Hayward Gallery 1972, Waddingtons (5 shows 1972-90), Tate retrospectives in 1973 and 1995: represented by Flowers East since the 1990s: extensive exhibiting CV, represented in many worldwide group / survey exhibitions of British art since 1960, including the 1966 Venice Biennale. Work in over 25 museum/public collections in Europe and USA. | |
