Born in Cumbria, Duffin is a painter and printmaker concerned with the urban landscape. He studied at Goldsmith's and Central Schools of Art, and worked in the early 1980s as a ship draughtsman at Vickers. He has held many solo exhibitions, and been included in numerous group shows. His work is in several museum collections, including the Ashmolean, Museum of London, and the Guildhall Library.
